[NEWS]: Autopsy report reveals cause of singer Destiny Boy’s death
An autopsy report has revealed the cause of death of 22-year-old Afrofuji singer, Afeez Adesina, aka Destiny Boy, ABTRENDZ reports.
Destiny Boy, a promising young Afrofuji artist known for blending traditional Yoruba Fuji sounds with modern Afrobeats, died on January 17, 2026, in what has been described as controversial circumstances, triggering outrage and demand for an autopsy.
Following his death, videos shared widely on social media showed what appeared to be his body being transported to a mortuary, triggering rumours about what may have led to his death.
In one of the videos, the artiste was seen lying in the back of a vehicle, with cotton wool placed in his nostrils and ears.

An attempt to clarify the circumstances surrounding his passing was later made in a separate video by an unidentified associate, who said the singer had been battling a private health challenge.
“God, I want to do this video before people start saying rubbish about Destiny Boy’s cause of death. We all came to this life to write our own history. May God rest his soul. Destiny was nursing a health issue in his body before he died. We tried for him, but he didn’t make it,” the man said.
Family members said the singer had been living with a long-term illness, which they said caused him to have seizures.
In an online video, his mother, Saida, stated that the family had sought both medical and traditional treatment for the condition.
Social media commentators, while sending condolence messages, also questioned the circumstances of his death.
Following the controversy, the Ogun State Police Command later disclosed the arrest of one suspect in connection with his death.
The command also said the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Homicide Section, for detailed investigation.
In a statement, the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Babaseyi Oluseyi, said, “The Ogun State Police Command has since commenced investigations into the death of Adesina Afeez, aged 22 years, popularly known as Destiny Boy.
“The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Homicide Section, for detailed investigation. One suspect is currently in custody while investigationsvare ongoing.”
Autopsy Report, Two Months After
Findings by ABTRENDZ revealed that the case file had been sent to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for advice, but pending the advice, the Police Homicide Section conducted an autopsy.
It was further gathered that the autopsy report was released about a week ago.
When contacted on Friday, the Police spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, confirmed that the autopsy report had been released.
According to him, the report revealed harmful levels of tramadol and its metabolites, as well as methamphetamine, in the deceased’s body,
The report concluded that the cause of death was “aspiration pneumonitis resulting from the ingestion of these toxic substances.”
The terse statement made available to ABTRENDZ reads: “The Consultant Anatomic Pathologist reported that toxicology results revealed harmful levels of tramadol and its metabolites, as well as methamphetamine, and opined that the cause of death was aspiration pneumonitis resulting from the ingestion of these toxic substances, with the date of death being 17/01/2026.”
The singer began to gain prominence after releasing his Fuji cover of Davido’s ‘If’ in 2019, which attracted massive traction on social media.
He also delivered covers of songs by artistes like Tekno, 2Baba, 9ice, and Small Doctor.
Destiny Boy also released songs such as ‘Lamba’, ‘One Transaction’, ‘Gbese’, ‘Billion Dollar’, ‘Mio Gbonkankan’, and ‘Lowkey’.
The singer and Iremide, his partner, welcomed their first child together in November 2024

“My mother was a very loving, beautiful, and caring person to me, actually. So she was very, very strong. She will do anything to see me come first in anything, or even in class. Anytime I come back from school, she always wants to know what happened. So, that is the loving part about mommy. She’s the best mother in the world to me.
“When I heard she was dead, I was not that surprised because she had always been saying it. She has always been saying it. She cracked jokes to make everyone lively, and that’s the main reason why I also miss Mommy. I know you’re dead right now, but you will always be alive in my heart and in my dreams. I love you mommy. May your soul rest in peace.”
Omije Ojumi, whose real name is Bunmi Akinaanu Adeoye, passed away on January 12, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of gospel music, sacrifices, and dedication as a mother.

[NEWS]: WhatsApp Is Finally About To Launch A Long-Anticipated New Feature
WhatsApp is about to introduce a major new capability, it’s reported and it will finally allow users of the WhatsApp web app to take part in voice and video calls.

The report comes from the authoritative WhatsApp watcher, WABetaInfo, which cautions that the new features are not quite live yet, but are on the way.
Calling capabilities for the web client had been partially previewed before, but haven’t come to fruition yet.
WhatsApp Web Voice And Video Calls: What’s Coming
Frase By Forbes
“if you are using a computer that is not your own, you can rely on WhatsApp Web to place calls without installing a native or hybrid desktop app,” the report said. That would mean that users would be able to control call notifications they receive from WhatsApp Web.
It also means that features currently available on the Android and iOS apps will be more widely accessible. “Following recent updates to the WhatsApp Web beta, we discovered that WhatsApp is actively developing voice and video calls for group chats,” the report went on.
This will mean that you can join a call whether you’re on your iPhone, Android phone or desktop. This flexibility is already offered by rival services like FaceTime, where you can hand off calls from one device to another seamlessly. But FaceTime, of course, only works on Apple devices while WhatsApp covers Android and PC as well — just one of the reasons it has grown so fast, outside the U.S., at least.
WhatsApp Web Group Calls: How They’ll Work
It could mean that group calls could support up to 32 participants, though likely a smaller number at first. “This added compatibility will ensure that all users can participate in group calls, regardless of the device they are using,” WABetaInfo said.
The way the different platforms will align is also expected to grow, with users “to instantly generate a shareable link that others can use to join the call. When creating a call link, users will be able to choose whether it is for a voice or video call, just as they can on WhatsApp for Android and iOS,” it said.

former Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the Chief Imam, describing him as a towering spiritual leader whose life was defined by scholarship, devotion to Allah and selfless service to the Ummah.
In a statement signed by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, Saraki said the late Shaykh’s more than four decades of leadership on the mimbar established him as a moral compass and spiritual authority whose influence extended beyond Ilorin and Kwara State.
From the pulpit, his sonorous voice consistently called the faithful to righteousness, peace, discipline and communal harmony, reinforcing Ilorin’s historic reputation as a centre of Islamic scholarship and moderation,” Saraki said.
He added that beyond his clerical duties, the late Chief Imam was a teacher, mentor and father figure who nurtured unity within the Ilorin Emirate and strengthened relations between the Emirate Council and the Islamic community.
Saraki also recalled his personal relationship with the late cleric, describing him as a source of prayers, counsel and moral support during critical moments of his public service. He noted that the Saraki family benefitted immensely from the guidance and goodwill of the late Chief Imam, who was also highly respected by his late father, Dr. Abubakar Olusola Saraki.

Pejar King - Drunk in love

“Drunk in Love” — Pejar King Pours His Heart Out in a Powerful New Release
The long-awaited track “Drunk in Love” from Pejar King is officially out, and it arrives as more than just another love song. It is raw, emotional storytelling wrapped in music — the kind of track that pulls listeners into the artist’s past, his heartbreak, and the memories he still carries.
“Drunk in Love” is rooted deeply in personal experience. Pejar King uses the song as a confession, opening up about a relationship that once meant everything but ended in pain. Instead of hiding or pretending that the heartbreak never happened, he chooses to write about it honestly. Through the lyrics, he relives moments of happiness, betrayal, longing, confusion, and the difficult process of letting go. The result is both healing and haunting — a song that feels relatable to anyone who has ever loved deeply and lost.
The phrase “drunk in love” captures exactly what the track is about. Pejar King describes a love that felt intoxicating — powerful enough to take over his thoughts, emotions, and decisions. When it fell apart, the crash hit even harder. The song explores how something that once felt magical can suddenly leave someone feeling empty and broken. Yet, instead of bitterness, Pejar King chooses reflection. He sings about lessons learned, growth, and the painful beauty of memories that refuse to fade.
Musically, “Drunk in Love” carries a smooth, emotional vibe. The melody is gentle but powerful, supported by subtle instrumentals that allow the vocals and storytelling to shine. The production balances modern elements with classic emotional songwriting, giving listeners a strong sense of atmosphere — like being alone late at night, replaying moments in your head. You can almost feel the loneliness, the nostalgia, and the heaviness behind every line.
Pejar King’s vocal delivery is heartfelt and sincere. He doesn’t just sing — he expresses. Every verse carries weight, as if he is talking directly to the listener, sharing secrets he once kept to himself. His tone shifts between vulnerability and strength, reminding us that heartbreak hurts, but it also shapes us. Many listeners will likely see themselves in his words, recognizing situations they have been through or emotions they once struggled to explain.
Another powerful aspect of “Drunk in Love” is the storytelling. Pejar King paints pictures instead of simply stating feelings. He recalls moments with his past lover, the excitement of being together, the promises made, and how everything slowly changed. The details make the song more than just a breakup story; it becomes a journey through love, disappointment, and emotional recovery. It shows that even artists who seem confident and composed also experience deep pain.
Beyond the heartbreak, “Drunk in Love” highlights Pejar King’s growth as an artist. He isn’t afraid to be open, to show vulnerability, and to let fans see the real human behind the music. That honesty sets him apart. Listeners can feel that this track comes from life experience, not fiction. It reveals a more mature and reflective side of Pejar King, signaling that he is ready to share deeper parts of his story through his music.
The song also serves as a reminder that love doesn’t always end the way we expect. Sometimes it leaves scars, and sometimes those scars inspire powerful art. By turning his pain into music, Pejar King transforms heartbreak into something meaningful and beautiful — something others can connect with, heal through, and understand.
Now that “Drunk in Love” is out, it stands as an emotional milestone in Pejar King’s career. It shows courage, creativity, and the strength to speak honestly about moments many people hide from. Whether you’re currently in love, recovering from heartbreak, or simply a fan of soulful storytelling, this track is one you will feel as much as you hear.
“Drunk in Love” isn’t just a song about being heartbroken — it is a reflection of love’s power, both beautiful and painful. And through it, Pejar King invites listeners to step inside his past, understand his journey, and share in an emotional experience that lingers long after the music stops.
